This is the first time that New energy vehicles from Guangxi have been exported overseas by rail, marking the addition of new categories of goods exported through the new and and sea channels in the western Region.

Liuzhou is the largest industrial city in Guangxi. It is the national auto parts production base, the national auto parts export base and the national auto industry demonstration base. It is understood that in the past, Guangxi new energy vehicles are mainly exported to overseas through road and sea combined transport. In order to further expand the automobile sales market in Southeast Asia and cope with the increasing demand for transportation of new energy vehicles, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. tries to add rail-sea combined transportation mode to ensure the stability of supply chain in southeast Asia market.

According to Liu Jingwei, manufacturing engineering director of SAIC-GM-Wuling Overseas Business and Engineering Center, SAIC-GM-Wuling exported 58,000 cars from January to April this year, up 28% year on year, with global Che Baojun 530 and Bao Jun 510 as the main products. By the end of 2021, the company has received more than 200 institutions in more than 70 countries to import new energy vehicles inquiries, the west through the new land-sea channel rail-sea freight train exports, will help China’s new energy vehicles more convenient to go overseas.

It is understood that this new energy vehicle rail-sea combined transport train from Liuzhou to Qinzhou port on board directly to Jakarta, to achieve seamless rail-sea combined transport, saving about seven days compared to the traditional mode of transport.

Tang Guide, director of Liuzhou Freight Center of China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., LTD., introduced that the railway department customized the transportation plan according to the needs of enterprises. The whole transportation does not need to change boxes, so that the railway sea is seamless. It is expected that this batch of goods can arrive in Jakarta, Indonesia in about 20 days, helping “Made in Guangxi” go abroad.

In order to ensure the smooth operation of the freight train, China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd. work together to meticulously organize the whole process, customize the transportation plan, and assign special personnel to monitor and control the whole loading process of the container train, so as to ensure the safe and rapid shipment of goods. In view of the current situation of intensive cargo arrival and busy unloading at Qinzhou Port East Railway Station, railway, port and customs work together to continuously optimize the unloading organization scheme, open up a green channel for new energy vehicle train, and ensure efficient loading and export of the train.

Radiate 6 continents, connect more than 300 ports in more than 100 countries and regions. By May 23 this year, 291,000 TEUs of cargo had been shipped by rail-sea combined transport trains under the new western Land-Sea Corridor, up 37.5 percent year-on-year.
